Wow, I am halfway through week 28! Now everything is flying by... I used to write each post on Sunday, but it seems to be all passing by to quickly!
I have been absolutely nothing but busy these last couple weeks! We had the maternity tour and a couple appointments as well as a Farmer's Market. So I was rushing around to make candles for that... On top of that, it was my busiest week of candles I have had all year... It must be baby season! I make baby food jar shower candles for baby showers! They fly right off the shelves! In a week I have had to produce over 100 as a rush order and still have another 55 to do this week! So, I am definitely busy with that!
Anson has been a little mover lately! I am getting to the point in my pregnancy where he is moving at a specific time every day, in my case it would be night! From 11:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. he kicks me for almost 3 hours straight... It is always right before I am about to fall asleep and in return, it keeps me awake! I feel like an insomniac... The true blessing is after I fall asleep, I never have to wake up to use the bathroom before my alarm goes off... which in return, is helping my sleep patterns tremendously... weird, right?!
It has been such a blessing feeling him move so much. I know Clark kept getting discouraged when I would say, feel, he is moving around a lot and as soon as Clark's hand went to the belly, Anson stopped moving completely! The first real good night was on either Saturday or Sunday. Clark felt about 7-10 really good punches or kicks. I loved seeing the smile on his face... Anson also kicks me really hard if Clark is close to my stomach and he is talking! He already loves his daddy so much! Now, Clark can pretty much feel him every night, which is amazing. I have been feeling him pretty much over the last 2 months now and I was so happy and relieved once Clark got to feel him. It is quite an amazing feeling!
We did have an opportunity to get Anson's wall letters on the wall a couple days ago :) It is hard to see with the flash, but here is what it looks like! I can't wait to take a picture of the nursery complete!
We also received another AMAZING gift in the mail last week that I forgot to post about :) My mom and dad got us the Graco Day2Night Sleeper system with the bassinet and play pen! It comes with the bassinet, the playpen, a flip away changing station, and an mp3 speaker system too! It so so awesome! A huge thanks to my parents! I have noticed we are getting a lot of gifts shipped to us, or people aren't waiting and giving them to us anyways! In return, we will try and fit as much as possible at the baby shower, but some things will have to stay in the nursery and people will be able to see the nursery as well!
Now that I have started Week 29, I have had quite the hectic week! We had an ultrasound followed by many other appointments, including the glucose testing (although that is a whole other post in itself).
The ultrasound was a little disappointing... Debbie, my mother in law, joined us and I was bummed that they wouldn't move Anson. So in return the ultrasound wasn't very clear and I felt bad that she couldn't see better pictures! But overall we did get some pictures. In return, Clark and I were disappointed, so we made an elective ultrasound appointment which, we just got back from and Anson was being difficult yet again. She was able to get him to move a little... but apparently, he likes my placenta so stays close to it... We got 2 better pictures than from Dr. Jadali's office, but in return, we will be going back for a redo. My First Peekabo in Ventura was great. The room was huge and the atmosphere was nice. My mom and grandma went with us to see it, however, yet again, Anson was to close to my placenta whereas in the ultrasound at Dr. Jadali's office, the umbilical cord was in his face. Due to Anson being difficult, the redo is on the house for My First Peekabo which was fantastic.
However, Clark made a good point, maybe because we have been letting so many people come with us, that it could possibly be stressing me out and I just don't realize it so Anson responds to my emotions. On our redo it will just be Clark and myself and we will see if his theory is right... I don't think it will be, but you never know! I do try and please people, so in return if it doesn't get exactly how I want, maybe my emotions reflect that... who knows! But I still think that isn't the case!
In return, I feel as if everything is going well. I do feel more tired, but I have had been going non-stop for the last two weeks, so maybe my exhaustion is from that. I also have had the time on my Sunday's to just have my lazy days! I literally don't do anything on Sunday... starting today!
Oh, and I can't forget, we had our first birthing class on Wednesday... BOY OH BOY, I thought I was ready for childbirth, however, now I do not feel as if I am... The video was kind of traumatizing in a way and quite honestly, to much to see for our first class! I was VERY educated the first day. I was waiting for Clark to keel over the couch and pass out from the video itself. Overall, I am ready for the next classes yet and am excited for the fifth class as it is the lactation class! I will need to learn as much as I can because I plan on breastfeeding.
Here are some pictures of the room and the belly at 29 weeks!
