Week 34

Well, I can say this with certainty... this has been one of the most frustrating, stressful and exhausting week possible.  I thought things were supposed to be LESS stressful, not more!

On Tuesday, Kole either got bit by something or has had an allergic reaction to something else.  He broke out in hives that were almost 2" big at some points from his face to his body.  Clark was helping a friend move, so he couldn't rush home, but my mom came over and stayed with me for about 2 hours making sure Kole didn't go into shock.  He cried all night and we were up for over 36 hours.  Clark was up longer than me because of the fact that he wound up taking Kole upstairs so I could get a few hours of sleep.  I am exhausted mental and physically.  We wound up taking him to the vet on Thursday and they gave him a few shots and a lovely prescription to take home.  What they didn't tell me, is that every 2 hours he will have to pee for about 5 minutes.  So, Thursday night, I got absolutely no sleep.  That was 2 sleepless nights this week.  He seems to be doing better now, thank God!

Wednesday, I worked from home to watch Kole and it was our last birthing class and we actually wound up leaving early.  We were so tired... Plus, Clark and I know how to swaddle, change diapers, and hold a baby... so we figured the last class wasn't as important as the other classes.  Overall I did like the class, even if it made me feel more unprepared. What made me feel most unprepared was one of the girls in our birthing class (we are 2 weeks apart) went into labor at 35 weeks and I am now only a week away from that!  Another girl started having contractions at 33 weeks and is on medication now!  I told Clark that I am definitely not prepared now, so I am trying to get my hospital bag ready... purchase the small last things off my registry and get it all done with as well as hospital papers.  In the cleaning of our place for the baby shower they got shoved somewhere in my office haha!  If you have seen my office/craft room... it could take a while to find!

Thursday was probably the hardest day for me, mentally and physically.  I had my doctor's appointment because I have been having higher blood pressure.  I came in, my blood pressure was a much lower than the time before and apparently I lost 6 pounds in under a week.  I am assuming that is what lack of sleep and stress can do to you!  Clark was leaving for his hunting trip with his dad (because they decided to stay overnight) and I haven't had to deal with the dogs alone yet this late in my pregnancy.  Clark was really afraid to leave me, and I didn't want him to go when it got time to leave.  With Kole peeing every 2 hours, I didn't get any sleep... and on top of that... Poor Clark and John had to sleep in his dad's truck because the ranch they went to, decided to lock their gates so Clark and John couldn't get in.  You best believe, that at 11:00 p.m. I was calling everyone I could find to let them in... unfortunately, no one answered.  I felt awful for them and quite honestly very angry because what is the point of putting an "emergency number" when no one can be reached?!  I hate incompetence like that!

Friday, oh Friday.... Because of their hunt, Clark waited until the LAST possible minute to buy a deep freeze.  Low and behold, it had to be delivered on Friday morning... WAY earlier than when I normally wake up.  So, at 7:00 on the button, the delivery came and they set it all up.  I was, to say the least, exhausted, frustrated and stressed.  I could barely keep my eyes open.  The day dragged on for me on Friday and I couldn't wait to get home to see Clark.  He shot a sheep and his dad shot a boar and a sheep, so I was really excited for them.  The worst part of being sleep deprived and exhausted was that they got their meat butchered, but we had to air seal it all... I let Clark sleep for 2 hours... and when 11:00 p.m. rolled around I regretted letting him do that because I was at the point of utter exhaustion.  I stayed up almost until 1:00 a.m. helping him pack everything and air seal it all.  I was running on empty pretty much.

I did get to sleep in on Saturday until 11:00 a.m. though.  I mean, yes, I got a solid 8 hours of sleep (waking every 2 hours to use the restroom) but it still wasn't enough.  Not after the long week we had had with lack of sleep and crazy stress trying to get him ready for the trip.  We went over to his parents house to drop off stuff/pick stuff up and they had been packing their meat as well!  John had well over 3 countertops worth of meat (we saw one, but I believe it!)!  We got home, and since it is my last couple days accepting new orders for candles, before I call it quits until Anson comes, I started on the 10 orders I had that were large.  The smaller orders can wait!  I got 4 orders done... and by then it was 10:00 p.m.!

Sunday was just as crazy.  I wound up waking up early, and we went over to Clark's parents house for breakfast.  His mom made sausage patties from scratch and they were delicious!!  We had a full out breakfast.  I won't lie, I was a little skeptical, but it tastes exactly the same (just much fresher).  I am still a little skeptical about eating sheep meat... Clark had me look for a lot of pork recipes, so when he shot the sheep... I was like UM I don't know how to cook sheep!  We went home, I started candle orders while Clark was trying to finish his sheep skull so he can finally mount it.  I didn't finish much more as I was pretty tired and it was so hot.  We had our air set to 69 but because Camarillo was SOO hot yesterday, it only got down to 76 until around 5:00 p.m. when it finally started dropping below that.  The candle picture below was just half of one order!

I am very excited to say that we are planning on doing our maternity pictures.  We were going to DIY but with the ONE picture Clark took.... I think I will murder him by the time we are done and I am so very excited to work with Kali!  She is an amazing photographer and it is always nice to be with someone you are comfortable with :) It is crazy to think we have known each other since we were kids!

On another note, we have been asked by several people to be put on "a list" to be contacted when I go into delivery.  I was very hesitant at first because I feel bad for texting or calling people at 2:00 a.m. in the morning if I went into labor!  I feel that people need their sleep, but apparently it is normal to do that!  So, if you want to be notified, let me know and I will add you to "the list ;)".

I am sure there is more to write, but I can't think of anything else!

How far along? 34 Weeks! 6 weeks left.
Total weight gain/loss: 19 lbs total with the weight loss.
Sleep: Getting harder to get comfortable, especially with the back pain
Best moment this week: Sleeping.
Miss Anything?  Sleep haha

Looking forward to: The maternity shoot and finishing orders to finally rest!
