What a crazy last week it has been. Last Monday, I came down with a horrible sore throat. I wasn't sick, but because of the weather changes we are having, my sinuses decided to flare up causing a lot of post nasal drip. Unfortunately, over the counter drugs are extremely limited during pregnancy and all I had to take was Tylenol and Benadryl... woooppie!
If I had taken Mucinex it would have been gone in one day, however it lasted until Thursday. It took four days to clear up with a lot of hot water, lemon and honey.
Friday came around and I was feeling much better and we went camping with Blake, Jess and their girls :). That was fun. A one night camping trip turned into another sore throat, all because we forgot to bring pillows! The one necessary item to keep my head up! Saturday and Sunday I slept most of the day because I was exhausted physically from the sore throat. I never knew how crippling a pregnancy sore throat could be!
As of today, May 13, 2014 the baby is started to move around more and I can feel it. The fluttering and also the pressure. If anyone out there who reads this has had a boy, please let me know if the pressure is related! Everyone I know has a girl, so they can't relate to what I am feeling! I wish the baby would move when I am standing, but Baby Ostrander is constantly moving while I am sitting at work, which makes it difficult to breathe as well as the pressure and the movement makes me have to pee every 15 minutes.
I am assuming the shortness of breath is because all my organs and what not are shifting up making room. I am prepared though. I had sports enduced asthma when I placed soccer in high school, so my OB gave me an inhaler that she said I would probably need. I now understand why that was given... I might need to start using it soon.
My energy is coming back, slowly but surely and I have much longer "spurts" of it. Our walks are getting a little longer as well. Granted, Yogi is so hyper, I feel bad to not give him long walks and I am so grateful that Clark takes them every single morning before I even get out of bed around the block.
Other than the fact that I have horrific headaches that tylenol doesn't touch, shortness of breath, and some other uncomfortable pregnancy related pain, everything is going quite well!
I can't believe in 3 weeks I will be half way done! It seems like it was just yesterday we found out we were pregnant and 3 months have already passed!
Clark also purchased our crib set :) Here are some pictures! We are very excited!!!

How far along? 16 Weeks 4 Days
Total weight gain/loss: 8 lbs and holding firm.
Stretch marks? Unfortunately
Sleep: Sleep is starting to get more difficult. When I get ready to go to bed, I am tired. However, when I start to relax I get restless leg syndrome and then I start becoming more and more uncomfortable. Everyday this week I have been falling asleep around midnight because when I go to bed by 9 I can't get comfortable.
Best moment this week: Tuesday :) I could feel the baby start moving around and the flutters.
Movement: Yes! I ALOT of pressure in my lower abdomen and flutters :)
Food cravings: I seem to not have as hard time of eating as I did before.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope.
Have you started to show yet: The belly is definitely blooming!
Belly Button in or out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time: Depends on the day, but the heat doesn't help.
Looking forward to: Our next ultrasound in 14 days!
