The only other appointment I had last week was getting my eyebrows waxed... my hair is growing at an alarming rate... I go every 2 weeks to get waxed, it sure seems like I am there once a week though! I am getting hairier as the weeks seem to pass... The only thing that isn't getting hairier is my hair on my head!! Seems like it is growing much more slowly!
The week was definitely not as busy as the week before. I was definitely more tired this week and I think it was because I was going full force the week before. I definitely was a nester this week... I was on the couch quite a bit, just watching tv and resting. Clark had to force me on walks some days... We try and take an hour walk if not longer at night (and we always take a 30 min walk in the morning on our break) but some nights I just want to sit there. The worst part is that when I crawl into bed exhausted, for some unknown reason, Anson starts moving around and I can't settle for at least 2 hours... So some of the nights I couldn't fall asleep until 2:00 a.m. which really affects me the next day.
I was very busy with candle orders, which was extremely nice to keep me occupied during those days where I am a little restless because it is more of a therapy for me.
One of the best days this week was on Saturday. I haven't written much about it, but I am a World Cup fan for sure! I have watched almost every single game... it is the one time every four years that I really pay attention to soccer. I have a favorite team on the professional club aspect, but to me, it is never as exciting as the World Cup is :)
Now, the team I root 100% for is Argentina... they have an amazing team and this year, even though they haven't done so well, that is my roots... I loved playing soccer and was so lucky I got to. My grandpa didn't approve of girls playing soccer, because in Argentina they pretty much aren't allowed to, but they are still my world cup team. Germany comes a close second for me though. However, the United States team did a very good job and honestly, I would vote for them more, if they had a stronger team. I hate to see teams leave that I get so caught up in! If you watch soccer, you would know Tim Howard pretty much carried the United States team in regards to how much work he had to do as a soccer player. I look at the keepers in all of the games with so much admiration. I also vote for the U.S. team because this is where I am born and raised, the only difference is the U.S. is still learning how to play at a more competitive level with other European and South American teams! I can't wait until they day they get really strong so I can cheer for them all the way to be the champs of the World Cup!
Back to Saturday, my grandma came over and we watched over 7 hours of soccer! The Argentina v. Belguim game was on and it was a pretty good game... anyone who knows me, knows I absolutely love Gonzalo Higuain and for him to make the first goal of that game and carry the offense made me proud to watch! Plus, it was nice that he is back from his injury... They did lose one great player for the semi-final though, but they advance to the semi-finals!! The second game I watched with Ma was the Netherlands v. Costa Rica game... It was a boring game until the penalty kicks, then it was spectacular!! They have a fantastic keeper!! So in return, it will be CLARK v KRISTA come Wednesday when they play! Netherlands (Clark is Dutch and with Ma and my dad being from Argentina, I am definitely Argentina). We will see how well that game goes :) I might not be the nicest wife that day!
Another amazing day was last Wednesday, I think! My cousin Richard works for Hawaiian Airlines and was able to get us an amazing deal and we booked our trip to Hawaii! We have been asked more than once to come out when the baby is born and it would be easier for us to fly out and see the family, than for my mom and I to have everyone come out and stay with us... It would be over 20 people if that was the case! We are super excited to visit everyone in April/May of next year!! My Aunt Sheryl and Uncle Greg were also very generous on letting us stay at their condo! We are so blessed to have such amazing family! Thank you all!!
How far along? 24 Weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: 18 lbs... :(
Sleep:Takes me quite a while to settle, but other than that, I did well during the night this week!
Best moment this week: Booking our Hawaii trip and watching Argentina win!
Miss Anything? Hot dogs, deli meat... anything I can't eat!
Looking forward to: My massage on Saturday :)
